MININA DESIGN

Vorobyevy Gory

Apartment, 2021

Interior Design: Tatyana Minina
The objective of this project was to design an interior for a mother and her 10-year-old daughter who disliked dark and gray shades, glossy surfaces, nubuck, and long-pile carpets. Nevertheless, the Minina Design studio was given freedom in all other aspects, and we were able to find a sweet spot in style and colors right away, beginning with the initial design concepts.

A large wardrobe at the entrance helped to eliminate dark and narrow corridors and create a hall that the space previously lacked. Bright cabinet fronts skillfully concealed the entrance to the child's room.

The living room presented a particular challenge due to its semi-circular wall combined with a straight corner. The irregular shape of the room was resolved with an equally "irregular" Edra modular sofa and a custom-made curvilinear rug, resulting in a harmonious and sophisticated multifunctional living area.

The "panels" used in wall decoration are made of two layers of plasterboard, allowing for zoning with the color and plasticity of the walls, and rounding off the outer corners. This approach gave the interior a unique and individualized look.

The screen in the bedroom looks like a separate piece of furniture, but it is actually a custom-made decoration covered with wallpaper. All paintings for the project are custom as well.
