MININA DESIGN

Villa Sea, Bali

Villa, 2011

Interior Design: Tatyana Minina
This interior design project is a part of the major remodelling initiative for the complex of four rentalvillas in Bali, branded 4S. Each villa's visual theme is centered around one of the four elements: SUN, SEA, SKY, and SAND.

The main objective of this interior design project was to transform the SEA Villa (the largest among the four villas), which had a dated and traditional Balinese appearance, into a contemporary, lively, and appealing vacation rental.

The name of the SEA Villa is reflected in its color palette and ambiance. The villa features modern design and genuine interior pieces collected from Balinese craftsmen and artists. The main element of the open living area is an impressive chandelier made of shells in blue and white colors.

To execute the villa's design in this complex, we had to scour almost all of Bali's markets and craft workshops. The island's specific nature means that making anything to order is almost impossible, so we could only source items that are in-stock.
